AN OSWESTRY production company has wrapped on its most important feature to date, using locally sourced talent with big British TV names.
Rocking Horse Media has been working on a feature-length disability TV drama dream after a decade of overcoming obstacles to get to this point.
The care home-based TV Pilot’s final day on set even included a soap legend filming his final scene in the area for a production that ended up attracting an all-star cast.

Liam Fox, who played Emmerdale’s Dan Spencer, was the latest high profile talent to be brought to the area by Rocking Horse Media to film his scenes for Henry House and joins TV royalty such as Mark Lewis Jones (Outlander), Annette Badland (Ted Lasso), Mark Benton (Waterloo Road), Ian Puleston-Davies (Coronation Street) and the legendary Peter Purves (Blue Peter), who have all visited and stayed in the area to film their scenes for the expenses-only pilot.
Gareth Thomas, from, Rocking Horse, admitted he was delighted to call upon actors of great quality and credits but also shouted out for his stars of the future.
He said: “Henry House also nurtures young talents, like leading lady Órla Jones, an undiscovered actress who auditioned in Oswestry three years ago, and has also proudly showcased neurodiverse creatives on both sides of the camera, including Liam own autistic son.”
Liam added: “I absolutely loved having the opportunity to help out with Henry House.

“It’s given opportunities to many talented individuals, including young people and those with disabilities, and they must be highly commended for that.
“Even my own son has benefited from the forward thinking of Gareth and all at Rocking Horse Media.”
Wrapping on the pilot felt more special after it was thrown into doubt last year when Peter Purves broke his wrist and the entire production had to be reshot and refinanced.
“Gareth and his team are an example to anyone with a dream that anything is possible,” added Liam.

“Fingers crossed the production gets a commission, it certainly deserves to for all the heart and commitment that has gone in to making the project a reality.”
Rocking Horse Media, having already begun post production on Henry House: The Pilot, will be approaching TV networks in the near future to see if they can take the show to series and they will hope that the dream that was ten years in the making doesn’t have to end just yet.
