Newtown 1 TNS 6
TNS returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion with a 6-1 victory over Newtown on Friday night.
The defending champions put two consecutive league defeats behind them to leave the Robins outclassed on home turf as Danny Davies, Sion Bradley, Remi Oteh, Declan McManus and Jack Bodenham struck.
The Saints hit the ground running with new signing Oteh firing just wide inside the opening three minutes before Davies volleyed home Sion Bradley's 10th minute corner to break the deadlock.
Newtown goalkeeper Alex Swindell kept the Saints at bay with two saves to deny Oteh before a rare chance at the other end saw Jason Oswell's headed efforts scrambled behind.
The Saints doubled their lead before the break with Josh Daniels' cross turned home by Bradley from 12 yards.

Newtown began the second-half on top and Aaron Williams' lofted effort came back off the post inside the opening few minutes.
The Saints took compete control in the 63rd minute as Danny Redmond split the Newtown defence and Oteh slid a composed finish past Swindell and just four minutes later Bradley tapped home another Daniels cross as the home faithful began heading for the exits.
Newtown continued to toil with George Hughes denied by Connor Roberts and the hosts reduced the arrears when Shane Sutton headed home from the resulting corner.
TNS soon restored order and Ryan Brobbel's cross was headed home by fellow substitute Declan McManus before Jack Bodenham completed the rout by heading home Adam Wilson's corner with four minutes remaining.
