Borderland Rotary's Harry Richardson organised two successful fundraising events last week.
At the regular Borderland meeting on Wednesday, Mr Richardson presented a cheque to Ellesmere Rotary Club.
The money was raised from a bookstall at the Ellesmere Regatta in July, with proceeds supporting the club's charitable activities.
On Friday, the team organised their annual Macmillan coffee morning in Bailey Street, Oswestry.
The event was well-attended, with visitors enjoying coffee from the Big Bean Coffee Machine and muffins donated by the Sweeney Hall Hotel.
Mr Richardson said: "Every year we hold this event, and every year I'm surprised and grateful for the tremendous support we receive from the people of Oswestry.
"They're so generous, and it's also really nice to have a bit of a catch-up with lots of old friends."
Sean Evans from the Sweeney Hall Hotel said: "It's a great opportunity for me to help with this great cause and meet many of my customers and friends away from the hotel.
"Borderland do a great job organising this event – long may it continue."
The coffee morning is supported by Oswestry Town Market, who provide a stall and gazebo free of charge.
