One man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving following a crash between three cars on a road between Welshpool and Llanymynech.
Two people were taken to hospital and a stretch of the A483 was closed for several hours following a crash on the evening of Tuesday, September 24.
Dyfed Powys Police received a report of the crash between three cars, a silver BMW, a silver Renault and a black Audi, at approximately 9.45pm between Welshpool and Llanymynech, closing the road until 2am while they attended the scene.
The closure is thought to have been on the Pool Quay straight near Four Crosses.
Police confirmed that one male was arrested following the crash on suspicion of dangerous driving as well as driving while under the influence of drugs.

Two other people were taken to hospital, though Dyfed Powys Police added that this was done “as a precaution”.
Police are now investigating the incident and have appealed for any information that could help, encouraging people to get in touch if they have any relevant information on the crash.
A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police said: “Police attended a three vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 9.45pm, Tuesday, 25th September 2024.
“A silver BMW, a silver Renault and a black Audi collided on the A483 between Welshpool and Llanymynech.
“Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution.
“One male was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drugs.
“The road was closed and reopened just after 2am, Wednesday 25th September.
