OSWESTRY’S Cambrian Heritage Railways will play host to trains on a much smaller scale this weekend.
The group will welcome the Ellesmere Model Club across Saturday and Sunday at the station in Oswald Road while also running its own services to Weston Wharf.
A spokesman for the group said the Ellesmere models will be on display for visitors.

They said: “Model railways and steam engines are a perfect mix so join us on Saturday and Sunday when we host Ellesmere Model Club who will be bringing various displays to Oswestry Station.
“On both days a steam service will be operating between Oswestry and Weston Wharf where the 1100, 1230, 1400 and 1530 services from Oswestry Station will be hauled by steam engine 'Austin 1'.
“Don't forget our Saturday evening Brewery Service.
“This service allows you to extend your stay with us into the evening or take an evening trip to Stonehouse Brewery for a meal or drink.
“Please check table availability direct with Stonehouse.
