CHIRK'S tough start to life back in the Ardal North East League continued with a 3-0 defeat at home to Llanfair United on Friday night.
Rob Andrew's strike separated the sides at the break with second-half goals from Sam Jones and Owain James completing the scoring.
James Burgess starred with a hat-trick as Llanrhaeadr eased to a 4-1 win at Barmouth United on Saturday while Billy Clarke completed the scoring and the hosts replied through Flynn Gannon.
