SHROPSHIRE firefighters were called out to an Oswestry village on Friday night to make safe the scene of a road traffic collision (RTC).
One Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) crew from Ellesmere was sent to the B4396 in Llanyblodwel at 6.35pm after reports of an accident.
A spokesman for SFRS said that police and ambulance staff were also at the scene.

They added: “Crews used Environment Agency equipment and small gear to deal with the incident.
“It was an RTC involving two cars which were both made electrically safe.

“Fluid and debris on the road were contained using environment grab packs and highways were notified to deal with the fuel spill.
“Casualties were left in the care of paramedics and the incident left with police.”
A stop message was sent to SFRS control from the crew around 50 minutes later confirming no further support was required.
