Oswestry’s Summer of Art, organised by Oswestry Cultural Connections, is offering artistic events throughout August.
Designed to inspire creativity, this programme presents a range of activities catering to all age groups, most of which are free to attendees.
Families can participate in workshops ranging from stage combat to stick painting tree art, along with the discovery of urban sketching.
Every Friday, the pOSsibility machine, a mobile art installation, comes to the town.
This interactive attraction allows individuals to contribute their own drawings or words to the model.
Scheduled for Saturdays until the end of September, guided walking tours are available from the new Tourist Information Centre housed in the market hall.
- Owner of Oswestry shop selling oversized vapes fined over £20,000
- Police investigating after burglars break into two Oswestry homes to steal cars

An event on August 31 and September 1 is the Ellesmere Model Railway Exhibition.
The exhibition is situated in the Oswestry Station building after which attendees can enjoy a journey down to Weston Wharf on Cambrian Heritage Railways.
Adding to this weekend is the Oswestry Balloon Carnival.
The events mainly take place in the town centre, the library, Oswestry Station Building, and Oswestry Memorial Hall.
