Northern Lights: Your snaps as the Aurora Borealis dazzles

The Aurora Borealis was seen across the whole of the British Isles because of a ‘severe magnetic storm’ with the country dazzled by some outstanding colours.

Our camera club members across Powys, Mid Wales and north Shropshire obviously didn’t want to miss out on this once-in-a-generation moment and immediately headed outside with their cameras.

And we have to say that the results are absolutely magnificent.

Jody Wilson caught this brilliant shot of the aurora over Llangollen for the Advertizetr Camera Club. 

Stephen Probert posted this to the County Times Camera Club, catching the Northern Lights over Welshpool. 

Roger Jepson caught this incredible effort over the beautiful Clywedog Reservoir taken from Bwlch-Y-Gle dam.

Laura Butler's capture of the Aurora over her Hanmer home, towards the village's much-loved Mere. 

Pamela Clark sent this glorious vision of the aurora to the County Times Camera Club, with the vertical pink lines completely different to many others. 

It's Llanfyllin's turn now as Catrin Jones submitted this pink and green picture to the CT Camera Club, capturing the aurora superbly. 

Alison Rowlands took the high ground in Chirk, North Wales, to capture this shot. 

Julie Ledbetter only had to move a little bit to capture the stars and the Northern Lights over Cefn Coch for the CT Camera Club.
