THE latest firefighter to join Oswestry’s crew has been welcomed by her new colleagues after completing her training.

Claire Revell will join Oswestry Fire Station as a retained firefighter after undergoing intensive training which she carried out through ‘dedication and perseverance’.

Staff at Oswestry Fire Station said that they were ‘proud’ of her work and looked forward to welcoming her.

A spokesman for the station said: “We are thrilled to announce that Claire has successfully completed her rigorous training regimen and is now officially a firefighter for Oswestry fire station.

“Claire's journey included intensive training, covering various critical skills such as pumps and ladders, water safety, road traffic collision, safe working at height training, emergency first aid and more.

“Her dedication and perseverance throughout this process has truly paid off.

“As a retained firefighter, Claire is now ready to protect our community and respond to operational incidents at a moment's notice.
