POLICE were called to an Oswestry street on Tuesday morning after a road traffic accident involving two cars, with drivers being urged to avoid the area.
Officers from Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) were called to the crossroad junction of Church Street and Upper Brook Street at around 7.45am.
Officers said on social media that drivers will need to avoid the area which carries the main roads for students from both The Marches School and Oswestry School.

They said: “Road traffic collision at the Upper Brook Street junction with Church Street in Oswestry.
“Please avoid the area if possible. No injuries reported.”
It is not yet known whether Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service has attended the scene.
