MYSTERY surrounds the location of what could be dream jobs for people who work in the outdoors or in housekeeping.

A job advert has been placed on recruitment website Indeed for a groundsman/shoot support/gardener for an estate between Oswestry, Ellesmere and Wrexham.

The recruiting firm for the roles, which the adverts says has a starting salary of £65,000, are remaining tight-lipped around the location of the estate looking to take on the new workers, citing confidentiality.

According to the advert, the job can be for people to live on or off site and can is a full-time, permanent role on a picturesque estate near Oswestry and Ellesmere.

The advert for a housekeeper says: “(It is) 45 hours per week with flexibility required.

“Ideal candidate(s) should be reliable, resilient, hardworking, and experienced in large private households.

“Responsibilities include housekeeping, laundry, wardrobe management, food shopping, hospitality, and occasional family-level cooking.

“Also, managing guest rooms, Air BnB property, overseeing deep cleans, and handling family dogs, horses, and chickens.

“Dealing with contractors, running errands, and occasional travel to the family's holiday home.

“(A) 5:30 pm finish on a daily basis.”

The advert added that a ‘live-in or live-out’ option is available for a role covering 300 acres with livestock, including chickens, cattle, bees, and game birds.

For the grounds/estate worker, it says: “It is 48 hours per week with flexibility required.

“Responsibilities include estate and property maintenance, horticulture, agriculture, and forestry work.

“Duties range from garden and woodland maintenance to occasional driving, shoot assistance, and pool maintenance.

“Strong affinity to the countryside, ability to work independently or in a small team is essential.

“Skills required include a full UK driving license, familiarity with forestry/timber work, and animal husbandry/livestock experience.

“Desired skills include a chainsaw license, experience with boom sprayer, and gamekeeping.

“Salary negotiable based on skills and experience.”

The job also called for successful candidates to develop and implement cleaning procedures for a clean and sanitary environment.

They will co-ordinate with other departments, manage inventory, and respond to guest requests.
