A MAN has been charged after gates were damaged by a vehicle at the Boar’s Head pub in Oswestry last weekend.
Michael McGuire, from Park Hall Caravan Site in Oswestry, was changed with affray; attempt to commit grievous bodily harm; common assault; criminal damage; dangerous driving and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was also charged with racially aggravated assault.
The 19-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Friday, January 12.
The pub’s gates were seen to be hanging off the wall after the incident in Willow Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
