The Shropshire Santa run has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
The annual fundraiser, which was meant to be held today (December 3) has had to be cancelled after overnight snow and ice made conditions too dangerous.
Alan Lewis form Adrenaline sporting events who help organise the event said in a post last night that "this isn't the call that I want to be making".
"Unfortunately the Shropshire Santa run on December 3 will not be going ahead on safety grounds," said Mr Lewis. "I hope that you understand my decision. As I say it is not what I want to be doing."
"We have held out in hope that the weather would bypass this area but unfortunately it has hit us here.
"Runners will receive an email shortly on what we will do next. Thanks for your understanding and sorry for letting you down."

Oswestry police added in a social media post "Sadly, due to the weather, the 2023 Santa's Run in Oswestry has had to be cancelled.
"Let's hope this brilliant fund raiser is rescheduled soon. Well done to everyone who trained for the event."
The event was created to raise money for local charities and has in recent years raised tens of thousands of pounds for them.
It is unclear at this time if the event will be rearranged.
