ONE of the eagerly-awaited new arrivals on the former Smithfield site – Costa Coffee – is now officially open.
The popular coffee chain confirmed in 2021 its intention to open a new drive-thru store on the site, following fellow food and drink giant McDonald’s.
A number of building and planning conditions have been discharged as the firm raced to completion and officially opened on Thursday, November 16.
Social media users confirmed that they had been to the new branch, much to their delight.
It is the second Costa branch to open in Oswestry, with a small shop on The Cross a much-loved fixture in the town.
