OSWESTRY Castle Research Group is set to unveil their findings of the site at a talk with the local history and archaeology group.

Roger Cooper will present the discoveries and their meaning to the Oswestry & Border History & Archaeology Group (OBHAG) on Friday, November 10.

He will explain what they found during the excavations from 2015 to 2021.

A spokesperson for the OBHAG said: “Roger will be speaking on those excavations, the exciting finds that were made, and what the excavation says about the history of Oswestry Castle – its importance to the development of the town of Oswestry, and the significant role it had as a Welsh border fortress.”

The talk will take place at the Methodist Church Hall, Castle Street, Oswestry, starting at 7.30 p.m.
