A Shropshire Euromillions winner has picked up a prize of nearly £500,000.

The mystery winner, only known as 'Mr E' has said he will spend his winnings on buying a static caravan and funding his retirement.

Mr E  who lives in an undisclosed location in Shropshire, won £486,876 on a EuroMillions draw.

He won his prize on October 6 by matching five main numbers and one lucky star on a lucky dip bought through the National Lottery app.

A spokesperson for Euromillions, Andy Carter said Mr E was now "set up for his retirement"  which will be enjoyed in a new static caravan.

Lottery winners have the option to remain completely anonymous, they can release their identity or like Mr E only release some of their details.

EuroMillions is a lottery that is played across nine European countries. Draws take place on Tuesday and Friday evenings with a minimum guaranteed jackpot of €17 million, which can roll over up to an impressive €240 million.
