GEE Atherton suffered a major crash at the Red Bull Rampage yesterday - and has said he must now "chill" after suffering "a few skull fractures".
The Llanwnog-raised downhill racing star, now based in Machynlleth, was quickly attended to by medical staff and airlifted to a hospital shortly after the incident.
Atherton took a massive slam in practice for Red Bull Rampage yesterday afternoon in Virgin, Utah and will miss the event on Friday.
His crash was also captured on video and posted to TikTok - it can be seen below, but be warned that it is not for the faint-hearted.

Atherton took to Instgram to report on his recovery.
He wrote: "Heavy day yesterday. Testing out the new drop on my Rampage run and a combo of slightly deep and a bit of a wind gust meant I couldn’t ride it out.
"Injuries are not too bad though, some fractures to vertebrae and a few skull fractures will mean I’ll have to chill for a few weeks.
"What hurts the most though is missing the event this Friday, especially after the dig crew have been putting in such an effort."
