AN INQUEST into the death of an Oswestry man who died on the A5, has been adjourned.

Ashley Jones died on Sunday, August 20, following a collision on the A5 between the Mile End and Whittington roundabouts.

The inquest into the 34-year-old heavy goods vehicle driver's death was opened by Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin deputy coroner Heath Westerman in Shirehall in Shrewsbury on Friday, September 1.

The court heard emergency services were called out to the scene but despite their best efforts Mr Jones died.

Mr Westerman adjourned the inquest to December 19, 2023.
