A MAJOR search and rescue operation is taking place off the Anglesey coast.
HM Coastguard lifeboats and helicopters have been seen at Trearddur Bay on the west coast of the island.
There are unconfirmed reports circulating that a person was swept out to sea.
North Wales Police took to social media last night to inform people that the emergency services were dealing with a "serious" incident.
