ONE of the biggest names in property TV programming is coming to Weston Rhyn at the end of the summer.

Sarah Beeny will be touring the UK to promote her book ‘New Life in the Country’, which charts her and her family’s move away from London to the south west.

Beeny, who has fronted many property shows and is considered an expert in the field, will be coming to the Holroyd Theatre on Wednesday, August 30 from 7.30pm.

The event is in conjunction with Oswestry’s Booka Bookshop, with a spokesman stating the business was looking forward to welcoming Beeny, who is also a cancer survivor, to the area.

They said: “Join us for an evening with TV presenter and property expert Sarah as she talks about her journey to live more simply and find her forever home.

“Throughout her life, Sarah has been obsessed with the idea of home.

“From her childhood growing up on a countryside farm to renovating her very first flat in London to restoring a stately home in Yorkshire, she has never been afraid of hard work to turn a house into a home.

“Now, in her most recent adventure, Sarah and her family have moved to a former dairy farm in Somerset to build the home of their dreams.

“Presenter Sarah began her property and investment businesses at 19 with her brother and her then boyfriend, Graham Swift, who is now her husband.

“After documenting their renovation of the Grade II-listed mansion Rise Hall in Yorkshire on Channel 4’s Beeny’s Restoration Nightmare (dividing their time between London and Yorkshire while running it as a wedding venue) the couple sold up in 2019 and moved to a 220-acre sheep farm in Somerset with their four sons Billy, Charlie, Rafferty and Laurie.

“Their experiences were captured in Sarah’s new book ‘New Life in the Country’.
