A RENOWEND organic gardener and long-time panelist on Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time, Bob Flowerdew, is set to give talk for members and guests of the Ceiriog Valley Garden Society.

On Monday, June 5, he will appear at the Oliver Jones Memorial Hall in Dolywern, with the promise of an evening filled with horticultural insights and entertainment.

Ursula Neil, secretary of the society, expressed her excitement.

She said: "By working less but with greater focus, you can achieve better results.

“Bob's presentation promises to be both informative and entertaining, delivered in his inimitable style."

Bob is very well-known as the original organic gardener appearing on the panel of Radio 4's Gardeners' Question time for over two decades.

Having grown up on a farm, Bob's passion for the natural world was instilled at an early age.

His curiosity led him to explore various farming and gardening techniques in tropical climates across the globe.

Under the title 'No Work Gardening,' Bob will delve into one of his most sought-after topics during his visit to the Ceiriog Valley.

While acknowledging the joy that many derive from working in their gardens, he challenges conventional notions and advocates for a more efficient and fulfilling approach.

Bob is also a prolific writer, having contributed to numerous magazines and journals.
