CORONATION Street star Debra Stephenson will make a big impression as she takes centre stage in the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards.

The actress, impressionist and comedian will be providing after-dinner entertainment in the black tie event which will take place in Telford's International Centre on Friday, June 23 which includes finalists from Oswestry and Ellesmere.

Debra played Frankie Baldwin in nearly 300 episodes of the much-loved Manchester soap opera and she was the face behind many of the voices in the TV show, Spitting Image.


Debra has starred alongside comedians Rory Bremner and Jon Culshaw in The Imitation Game and The Impressions Show and Shropshire Chamber is looking forward to welcoming her.

Shropshire Chamber's chief executive Ruth Ross said: "We are really looking forward to Debra playing a memorable part in a fantastic evening of celebration.

TV star Jay Blades MBE had intended to be at the event but had to pull out due to a change in his TV filming commitments.
