A HOT AIR balloon company from near Oswestry, has captured great views of North Shropshire during the snow storm last week.
The Rainbow Hot Air Balloon Team, from St Martins, took off from Oswestry with the intention to land in Chirk and if the winds were favourable they were going to head towards Llangollen.
Eduardo Arias, pilot and co-founder of the company, explained the weather conditions forced them to land in Ruabon.
He said: “Although it was 1°C on the ground, at 4,000ft was -7°C but it was totally worth it, and the views started to reveal what we already know, what an amazing area we live in.
“Everything looked stunning.
“We are very grateful for the amazing support we receive in person and on our social media from our surrounding communities.”
Eduardo continued: “One of the most amazing flights we have done so far, it was an opportunity that doesn't happen very often, being able to see the villages and surrounding areas covered in snow was magical.”
The co-founder added that in the company no one is above one another.
He said: “There is not really position within the team everyone has the same say and we are all a big family.
“Marc Derbyshire is a co- founder as well, and we have PUTs Pilots under training and volunteers from all backgrounds.”
Rainbow Balloon Team is a group of people having fun doing activities and getting sponsors to cover their flights.
