POLICE in Oswestry say that a suspect arrested for drug charges is expected to appear in court.

Officers from the Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) tweeted on Monday, February 20 that one man, Justin Owens of Sweeney Drive, was arrested in the morning.

Owens, according to Oswestry SNT officers, ‘had been wanted’ and is now ‘occupying a jail cell’ ahead of a court appearance at Telford Magistrates Court, with a date to be set, after a warrant was issued for his recent non-attendance at court for drug offences.

He will also appear at Telford Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 14 for a separate theft offence.

The tweet said: “Officers from Oswestry SNT arrested a male who was wanted for drug trafficking offences this morning.

“One cell is currently occupied and he will be attending court in the morning.”
