Captains from Llanymynech Golf Club presented a cheque to their chosen charity Alzheimer’s Research UK earlier this month.
The 2022 Llanymynech Golf Club captains Phil Ellis and Gwenan Davies presented Penny Dyer from Alzheimer’s Research UK with a cheque for an outstanding £6,500.
This money was raised throughout the year from charity days, raffles and auctions.

A delighted Penny said: Alzheimer’s Research UK is very grateful for the amazing support. This money will be used by our scientists in their drive to find a cure for the diseases that cause Dementia.”
Meanwhile Colin Forsyth was joined by Lionel Lee, Pete Humphreys and Tush Maitra in compiling 92 points to win Llanymynech Golf Club’s AMAM last weekend.
Phil Ellis, Andy Lloyd, Mark Chorlton and Graham Edwards ended second with 91 points.
