A RUYTON-XI-Towns man who was found dead in a garage took his own life a coroner has concluded.

Sean Pyne died on Monday, December 12 after being reported missing to police by his wife.

An inquest took place in Shirehall in Shrewsbury on Thursday, February 9, and heard that Dr Pyne worked as a quality control officer, had a doctorate in marine biology and was originally from Birmingham.

The court heard he was last seen at 8.20am and that he left his home address at 8.30am and chief coroner for Shropshire Telford and Wrekin, John Ellery said police conducted searches for him before he was located.

He added: "Police conducted a search for a missing person.

"He was located in a garage. A post mortem was carried out.

"The toxiciology report revealed that there was nothing in his system."

The court heard a note had been left on the kitchen table.

Mr Ellery came to the conclusion that Dr Pyne took his own life.

He said: "He had work related issues and was currently off sick.

"His wife did not know where he had gone to, it only came as a later possibility.

"There was no prospect of him being found quickly or at all."

Sean Pyne was born on June, 20 1959.

He was 63 years-old.
