CHIRK Castle is inviting the public to its snowdrops tour and breakfast in the Tea Room.

The event is set to take place on Saturday, February 11, starting at 9.30am until 11.30am.

A spokesperson from Chirk Castle said: "Signs of spring are popping up around us as hundreds of snowdrop buds are shooting up throughout Pleasure Ground Wood.

"So, embrace the season and join us for a freshly-made full breakfast in the Tea Room before heading outside with our volunteer tour guide to learn all about these little white beauties."

OTHER NEWS:

The full breakfast includes any regular hot drink, three bacon rashers, two gluten free sausage, baked beans, oven-roasted tomatoes, hash brown, mushrooms, black pudding, fried egg and toast with butter.

The spokesman added: "Following your tour, you're welcome to stay and explore the formal gardens, but ticket price excludes access to castle rooms.

"Our minibus will run from 9am to help visitors from the carpark, up the steep hill to the castle.

"Please note that the paths in the Pleasure Ground wood can be uneven and have mild to moderate gradients so can be difficult for wheelchairs in places.

"The formal gardens are wheelchair accessible."
