The estate surrounding Chirk Castle has been closed for the day due to high winds.
The National Trust confirmed the news via its Twitter page this morning (Wednesday, January 4).
The castle itself is closed for most of the month to allow for restoration work.
In a post they said: "The estate will be closed today due to high winds. Because of the number of veteran trees along the footpaths there's a danger of falling trees and branches. Please don't walk on the estate.
"Remember, the castle is currently closed and reopens January 28."
