A WELL-KNOWN supermarket in St Martins has donated £5,000 to the village's school for an outdoor classroom to be used for 'out-of-the-box' teaching.
Stans Superstore donated the money to St Martins Shool, which takes pupils from the age of three to 16 and headteacher Sue Lovecy proudly accepted the cheque from owners Andrew and Robert Faulks.
A spokesman said: "Stans Superstore has a long tradition of supporting its community and this donation built an outdoor classroom for the school which is used daily for students at break times and used for outdoor teaching, particularly for art students for sketching."

Mrs Lovecy thanked the supermarket bosses for another kind donation.
She said: "This is an incredibly generous donation that provided a great outdoor space that is used by the whole school and during the pandemic ensured that we were able to keep year groups in their bubbles, safe and secure."
Stans Superstore, together with its Nisa ‘Making a Difference Locally’ Fund, added it was 'pleased' to make the donation.
