Kieran Sperring, founder of Oswestry Pub Scene, said the awards and the voting throughout shows how much the establishments are loved by the regulars in their town.

He added: "I feel most pubs would love to win an award, big or small, to show their success throughout the year, and this is shown by the pubs rallying their locals into voting for their establishments in the various categories."

The 2022 awards have been a huge success with more than 600 votes being counted for each category.
