The Chirk Gardener’s Club is back after its summer break and is welcoming a former Gardener of the Year to their next meeting.

Sue Beesley who now runs a nursery in her garden in Cheshire will be giving a digital presentation on The Making of Bluebell Cottage Garden. She will talk about the creation of the garden from nothing and how it has evolved.

Sue recently featured on Gardeners’ World when she gave Adam Frost a tour of her garden and explained that most people have lawn with borders around the edge, she has reversed this and has borders with lawn through the middle.

There will be plants for sale and refreshments are included in the admission price of £2 for non-members.

The meeting will take place at the Parish Hall in Chirk LL14 5NA and begins at 7.15pm on October 31.
