RESIDENTS on a new-build estate in Park Hall say they are pleading with a housing developer to put a surface on their road and bring an end to damaged cars.

Residents of Park House Meadows, between Park Hall and Gobowen, say they have been waiting for the development's road to be completed since spring in 2021.

The homeowners, who did not wish to be identified, said they just want the road surfaced and completed, but say developers Primoros Homes, based in St Martins, have continually ignored their requests for help and support.

They said: "They have finished the house building.

"Primoris has sent numerous letters to residents saying the road would be completed by 2021, and all the ironworks were raised in order to get the road completed.

"That was supposed to be done in December 2021 but it was pushed back to January this year.

"But then they said that a resident had dropped a kerb without permission and that Shropshire Council wouldn't adopt the road until it was fixed.

"However, the person in question who dropped the kerb says that Primoris told them they were able to do it but then they said they didn't have permission to do it.

"It all seems quite petty, and the people involved showed the Whatsapp group that they had the details but Primoris put the blame on them.

"They have since sent out a letter this summer saying they were going to kill all the weeds, and it would take them three months to do it across September, October and November and then relay the road.

"They have said they were going to do last winter but then turned around and said it was too cold and wet to do it then, so it would be done by then.

"There's always an excuse for why they can't do it and it's been going on for two years now.

"It's damaging peoples' cars – people are bursting tyres, one has had three new tyres in the last year, someone has broken ball joints and cars have needed things replacing.

"People are looking at hefty bills and the damage is causing safety issues for people, and they're fed up because there's no communication from them."

In a letter provided to The Advertizer by Primoris Homes, which was sent out to residents in August this year, the company says resurfacing is planned for November.

It said: "The final tarmacing is planned to start between November 1-11, completing the process of surfacing the whole thoroughfare of your residential area.

"We will be in touch closer to the time and will arrange for the car park and compound to be open for the overspill parking."
