AN INTERNATIONAL Chirk factory has been named the new dug-out sponsor for Wrexham AFC.

The sponsorship sees wood-panel manufacturer Kronospan take on the branding of the home and away dug-outs at the Racecourse Ground, starting with this season, and boasting a visual presence at the ground.

Kronospan CEO Ludwig Scheiblreiter welcomed the move.

He said: "Kronospan have been a significant part of the wider Wrexham community for more than 50 years, investing heavily in the sustainability of our UK business and product range. We are delighted to have become a sponsor of Wrexham AFC at such an exciting time for the club.

“Over recent years we have seen the growing optimism and creative development of Wrexham and surrounding areas.

“It’s great to see such positive momentum locally and we feel supporting Wrexham AFC will support us in building our profile as a local employer and improving awareness of our brand.”
