A VILLAGE road closure – which is forcing motorists to take a 22-mile diversion – has been extended to the end of the month.
The B5479 from Glyn Road to the Ysguborissa junction in Selattyn was initially closed on July 20.
There had been hopes it would reopen on August 5, but it will now be closed until Tuesday, August 30 to allow Severn Trent to renew a water main.

The lengthy official diversion goes from Selattyn to Glyn Ceiriog, down to Chirk, along the A5 to Oswestry, and back via the B4579 which takes motorists past the fire station.
According to AA Route Planner the diversion takes around 45 minutes.
