I have read that Oswestry Town Council are proposing a children’s splash pool in the park.
I believe this proposal was subject to a feasibility study carried out by a company that supplies splash pools! Would it be in their interest to say no it is not feasible?
It is not just the building of such a pool but the maintenance and upkeep. Who will test the water everyday? Will the pool have to be closed every time an animal relieves itself in the pool, who will then be responsible for certifying that the pool is subsequently safe to use? Who will be held responsible should a child become ill whilst using the pool should these checks not be carried out? How much will all this cost per year?

Before the council plunges head first into this project would they be prepared to release the costs of both construction and maintenance to the public?
Surely this money could be better spent filling the pot holes in our roads to enable the rickshaw rides to continue safely?
