AN OSWESTRY man who was found at home by his parents died from taking a multitude of drugs, a coroner has confirmed.
Simon Pritchard, 41, died at his home in Maple Avenue, in Oswestry, on March 9 this year after emergency services were called after he was found unresponsive.
Shropshire coroner John Ellery heard evidence from Kerry Taylor, expert toxicologist, that Mr Pritchard was found with multiple drugs in his system.
The court was told that he had a history of alcohol and opioid excess, and that he was found at home with drug paraphernalia and bloods found "significantly high levels of methadone, heroin and morphine".
Mr Ellery said the cause of death was multi-drug toxicity and gave a conclusion that Mr Pritchard's death was drug related and unintentional.
