A GOBOWEN man has pleaded guilty to five counts of voyeurism, after recording people for his sexual gratification without their permission over a period of 11 years.

Ian Lloyd, 35, of Hammonds Place, Gobowen, appeared before Mold Crown Court on Friday, July 8.

As well as the five counts of voyeurism, Lloyd also pleaded guilty to eight further charges of causing a computer to perform function to secure and/or enable unauthorised access to program and/or data.

The court heard how the first voyeurism charge related to incidents which took place between 2009 and 2012.

The second took place between 2016 and 2018 and the third and fourth counts both took place between July and September 2020.

The charges claim that he recorded another person doing a private act with the intention that he would, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, look at an image of that other person doing the act.

The other charges of unauthorised access to computer material began as far back as December 2007 and the most recent incident of that occurred in 2020.

Judge Rhys Rowlands adjourned the case until Monday, August 8 when sentencing is expected to take place providing that a pre-sentencing report has been prepared.
