Dogs come in all shapes and sizes and these five are no exception, but they all have one thing in common – they need to find a forever home.

Currently under the care of Waggy Tails Rescue, a Wimborne-based charity rehoming animals within East Dorset and West Hampshire, they could make that special someone the perfect pet.

If you aren’t in a position to adopt right now, you could always sponsor a rescue to ensure they get a second chance of happiness.

But if you are looking to add a four-legged friend to your family, one of these five might just fit the bill.

Archie

Bournemouth Echo:

Breed: Terrier Cross

Age: 4 years

If you are hoping to get out and about with your pet, little Archie loves his walks. The team at Waggy Tails also found him approachable when meeting others while out in public.

He has lived with another dog previously so even if you already have a pup at your place, don’t rule him out.

For more information on adopting Archie, visit the Waggy Tails Rescue website.

JayJay

Bournemouth Echo:

Breed: Crossbreed

Age: 6 months

Give this youngster time and you will find JayJay is a friendly boy, despite being a little shy to start with.

This playful and happy hound is good with other dogs but you will need to be someone with the time to put into further training with him.

For more information on adopting Jayjay, visit the Waggy Tails Rescue website.

Robbie

Bournemouth Echo:

Breed: Terrier Cross

Age: 10 months

Robbie is looking for a patient, experienced owner as he hasn’t had the best start in life.

Initially when meeting new people he is quite shy and timid but given space to come out of himself in his own time, he will enjoy having a cuddle once he feels comfortable around you.

He will also need time dedicated to ongoing training to help him develop into a well-rounded dog.

Lacking in a few manners when greeting other dogs, he does, however, enjoy being around them while out on walks, so this is an area which can be worked on.

For more information on adopting Robbie, visit the Waggy Tails Rescue website.

Nala

Bournemouth Echo:

Breed: Border Collie cross

Age: 2 years

If you are looking for a bright, active dog to join your family, Nala could fit the bill.

She is ideal for someone with a fun side as she loves to play ball.

Nala is looking for a forever home with adults and older children only.

For more information on adopting Nala, visit the Waggy Tails Rescue website.

Jack

Bournemouth Echo:

Breed: Terrier

Age: 2 years

Little Jack is a cheeky chap. He has lots of character and is a bundle of joy just waiting to shower his love on the right family.

He is very lively and excitable so will need an active home and because he hasn’t had a great deal of input previously, he will need patience and training from his new owners.
