FIRE crews were called out to rescue a horse that had fallen in a field in Baschurch this morning (Friday, July 1).
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service's fire control room received a call today at 6.41am about a horse that has fallen down near Stanwardine.
One main fire appliance from Baschurch, a 4x4 from Oswestry and the animal rescue team from Wellington were called out to the scene in order to complete the rescue.
Animal rescue equipment was used to lift the horse that had fallen in the field.
The operation was completed at 8.17am, just over an hour and a half after the crews were called.
