Welcome to Bygones as we share some priceless memories of past celebrations at Oswestry's Cae Glas park.

The green space has been the heart of Oswestry life for decades and continues to attract locals and tourists alike.

Cae Glas hosted an 'It's a Knockout' event in 1980 and one of the teams posed for a picture. Do you recognise any familiar faces?

In 1969 Oswestry Town Football Club held a successful fete at the park while the Oswestry Carnival Queen was crowned at Cae Glas in 1975.

Meanwhile the park also hosted jubilee celebrations in 1977 when the town's firemen took part in a tug-o-war.
