A CLINIC in Oswestry is celebrating a year of offering a vital health service in Oswestry.

Interhearing says it is delighted to be celebrating the first birthday of the popular microsuction ear wax removal clinic located within the Oswestry Health Centre.

Owner and consultant audiologist John Beharrell admitted he and his staff have delighted to work in the town offering a service that keeps people hearing well.

“We really enjoy working in Oswestry and have met some great people," he said.

“We can’t believe it has already been a year since we opened the clinic, led by our senior ear care nurse Judy Lloyd.”

Interhearing launched its Oswestry clinic in August 2021 to serve a rising demand for ear wax removal in the area.

John added: “Due to the declining number of GP surgeries able to offer this service and particularly during the last few years where hospital waiting lists have increased dramatically, we found that new patients were travelling from Oswestry to our clinics in Shrewsbury, Chester or even Warrington,”

Interhearing clinics offer a real alternative to the NHS wait list by providing the same microsuction ear wax removal treatment patients might have at their local hospital but on a private, self-referral basis.

In addition, with so many companies now offering a variety of ear wax removal treatments, both in private clinics and on the High Street, Interhearing also ensure that clinics are led by fully trained, experienced and registered Ear Care Nurses, giving patients reassurance and peace of mind.

He added: “We are looking forward to serving the people of Oswestry for many more years to come; we really just want to thank our patients for making us feel so welcome in Oswestry and continuing to recommend our service to their friends and family.”
