LIVE music at Oswestry's Cae Glas Park is set for a return on Saturday.

Organisers of Cae Glas Live, formerly Party in the Park, are gearing up to welcome people into the park for a day of live music and fun, as well as workshops and much more.

A full day of music has been confirmed for the event, which starts at 10am with a set from Ed Crowley, and will run all the way to 9pm with the last set from Yubaba band.

Other acts set to rock the park out on the day include hugely-popular local band The Bartells, who will be playing a 40-minute set from 5.05pm until 5.45pm.

The Small Furry Animals, which could be a pun on Welsh musical giants the Super Furry Animals, start at 2.05pm while the Marches Rock Band will play a 10-minute set from 2.40pm.

The family-friendly and free event will also have a fairground, plus street foods and bars and alpacas will be on site for children both young and old.

Visitors will be asked to not bring their own alcohol to the event, which has been criticised by some residents, but Oswestry Town Council, which is organising the event, says there is a bar on site.

Anyone wishing to travel to the event can use of the four free buses, in partnership with the town council and Tanat Valley coaches, with the 400, 402, 403 and 404 all available.
