A GOBOWEN man accused of voyeurism and planting unauthorised software on computers will face a Mold Crown Court hearing next month.

Ian Christopher Lloyd, 35 and of Hammonds Place, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Monday to face charges of voyeurism/recording a private act against five different women.

He is also accused of causing a computer to perform a function to secure/enable unauthorised access to a program/data against eight women, with some in Flintshire and in the wider UK, according to the charges.

Lloyd, appearing at Magistrates, offered indication of a plea against the charges and was instructed to appear at Mold Crown Court on Friday, July 8 from 10am.

The charges state that the alleged offending took place over a period of 10 years, with an accusation of voyeurism from December 31, 2010 until September 1, 2020.

He is accused of five charges of of recording another person doing a private act with the intention that he would, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, look at an image of that other person doing the act, knowing that the other person did not consent to his recording the act with that intention.

Meanwhile, he is also accused of causing a computer to perform a function with intent to secure unauthorised access to a program or data held in a computer or to enable any such access to be so secured.

Lloyd was given unconditional bail by Magistrates who sent the case to Crown Court where he is expected to enter a plea ahead of a trial or sentencing in July.
