The dates for the second A483 resurfacing have been confirmed. 

Gresford Councillor, Jeremy Kent has taken to social media to share details about the road resurfacing as plans for the second attempt look set to get underway. 

The road was resurfaced last year, but after a series of complaints, a test found that there were several defects in the new road. 

The works will now start on June 12 for two weeks. With overnight closures from 8pm till 6am. 

The first set of overnight closures will be northbound from J6 Gresford to J7 Rossett, from June 12 until June 19. 

Then from June 19 until June 23 the southbound overnight closures from J7 Rossett to J6 Gresford will be in place. 

The northbound slip road at Gresford roundabout will then have overnight closures from June 23 until June 26. 

Motorists and traffic will be diverted through Gresford during the closures. 

Jeremy Kent said: "The works will be carried out with overnight closures for two weeks, firstly in the northbound direction, followed by southbound. 

"Traffic along the diversion route will be monitored to identify any issues/additional mitigation measures that may need to be considered.

"Loads over 3.2 metres in width will not be permitted to travel on the diversion routes.

"Suitable holding areas will be arranged in lay-bys North and South of the works."
