A COFFEE morning in aid of Christian Aid will be held in Chirk this weekend.

The fundraiser at St Mary's Church will take place on Saturday, May 14 from 9.30am to 12noon, and will include a raffle, bric-a-brac stall, book stall, cake stall, plus various other stalls, with all proceeds being donated to Christian Aid.

In conjunction with this coffee morning there will also be a plant sale on the church forecourt which will be manned by members of Chirk Gardeners' Club.

As well as large array of plants there will also be a tombola and a stall of garden accessories – so plenty of variety to stock up the garden.

Meanwhile, a special Ecumenical Service for Christian Aid will be taking place at 6pm on Sunday, May 22 at St Mary's Church when they are delighted to be welcoming Llinos Roberts a representative from Christian Aid Wales to lead the Service. Everyone welcome.
