A FARE dodger has been up before the magistrates after failing to pay for her train journey.
Jessica Owen skipped out on paying a £20 ticket to travel on the Transport for Wales service between Chirk to Wrexham General on October 16, last year.
The 22-year-old, from Collins Court in Wrexham, was found guilty in her absence of travelling on the railway without paying the fare and with the intent of avoiding payment when the case was heard at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Friday, April 29.
Owen was fined £220.
She must also pay court costs of £179, compensation of £20, plus a victim surcharge of £34, making a total of £450.
