Llanfyllin Firefighters raised over £600 with a charity car wash.

Held at Llanfyllin Fire Station on Saturday, April 30, firefighters raised £604 by washing the cars of residents or anyone passing by.

The fire crew raised money for the Firefighters Charity, an organisation that offers support to UK fire service members with their physical and mental health.

The charity offers help to serving and retired firefighters whether it be physical for potential injuries sustained in the line of duty, mental wellbeing or social needs that may be damaged the toll of the demanding job.

A spokesperson for the Llanfyllin Fire Station said: “Llanfyllin Fire Station personnel wish to thank all who supported our Firefighter Charity Car wash.

“It was a real pleasure to see you all at the station.

“This was actually our most successful event to date and £604.50 was donated to this very worthy cause.

“Once again , many thanks for your support it is very much appreciated.”
