ORGANISERS of a fun event to beheld at a sports club in Chirk say they will be back 'bigger and better' than years gone by.

Chirk Fest comes to Chirk AAA sports club in Holyhead Road on Sunday, June 26, as a modern re-invention of the former Fun Day.

The say is being organised by Manic Events, who say there will be something on offer for young and old.

Spokesman Matt Lee said: "We’re bringing back Chirk Fun Day with a bang.

The new Chirk Fest will be everything the fun day used to be plus more.

"We have live music from 12noon until late with some fantastic live bands and we still have spaces so if you’re interested please email info@itsmanic.co.uk

"We will have Stokes amazing fun fair on site too plus bouncy castles and loads more.

"The bar in the AAAs will of course be open and we will have a gin, Prosecco and spirits bar on the field too.

"There will be different food stalls on the field, something to suit everyone.

"Every local group in Chirk will be involved and will be showcasing everything Chirk has to offer.

"We will have local producers showing us their produce.

"We’re trying to contact as many local businesses as we can ourselves but if you want to be involved in the day please message us.

"You can buy tickets in a few places, from The Spar in Chirk, from The AAAs in Chirk or from The Venue at Park Hall in Oswestry.

"Or you can buy them online at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/chirk-fest-22-tickets-312778277247
