THE organiser of a event sponsored by a Chirk factory has thanked them for lending their name to the charity run.

Alan Lewis, owner of Adrenaline Sporting Events in Oswestry, will be organising his Brynkinalt Running Festival, which has the backing of Chirk factory Kronospan for the second year running, on Sunday, May 8.

The event will be a fundraiser for The Movement Centre, based at Gobowen's Orthopaedic Hospital, and works with children with movement control disabilities and provides expert training in improving strength and control.

Mr Lewis, said he was thankful to Kronospan for their support.

He added: "I'm thrilled to be working with Kronospan again for our Brynkinalt Running Festival which offers runners the chance to run 5km, 10km or 20km.

"Runners will experience amazing views around the Brynkinalt Estate and have the opportunity to raise vital funds for our charity partner which is The Movement Centre.”

Kronospan is the UK's leading manufacture in high-quality wood panels, and other associated products, supplying nationwide customers in departments such as furniture, construction, distribution and DIY industries.

Chris Emery, Kronospan director, said: “The work of the Movement Centre in Oswestry supports many local families and we are proud to be the headline sponsor for this exciting fundraising event.”

The company is bringing in a lot of support financially and morally, something that is appreciated by the Centre.

Curtis Langley, fundraising and marketing officer from The Movement Centre, thinks the work that they do is 'fantastic' and that this event is great for local people.

“The Movement Centre rely on the kind support of local business and individuals, raising vital funds towards our work," he added.
